A very old sport it making a resurgence these days which has people swinging swords and gearing up in chain metal armor. That sport is Medieval Armored Combat. Hannah Hudson joins the show this week to talk about what Medieval Armored Combat is as well as how this librarian got into such a unique sport. She is one of the few women in the sport today and owes it all to the CrossFit Games. She also talks about how her love for fantasy, superheroes, and more prompted her to start a new fitness movement in Salt Lake City called The Refinery which incorporates fitness and fantasy making for a unique exercise experience open for all promoting a body positive space. Finally, Hudson fills us in on her other hobby Scottish Highland Games and how having PCOS and a non-traditional body type has actually been an asset in her competing in this other traditional sport.
